The Major in International Tourism Management programme prepares graduates with extended up-to date knowledge, expertise and practical skills necessary to work in the general service sector and specifically in the tourism industry. Our education system combines scientific knowledge and skills with the latest industry cases and examples, which enables our graduates to work in a variety of professional management positions in the private or public sector.

This programme combines subjects that cover general business management necessary for the service sector, as well as tourism management. This attractive combination means that our graduates are employable in a wide variety of positions in various service sectors plus specifically in the tourism sector.
Knowledge and skills for the global job market
The programme is founded on a scientific learning approach and combines numerous teaching methods. The modules involve university lecturers from Switzerland and abroad, as well as professional tourism industry experts. Several modules have excursions to companies and destinations in Switzerland and internationally.
Professional experience included
The part-time structure of the programme means our students can be employed up to 50% while studying. We also offer a professional internship in the Swiss tourism industry.
International
Our students have the opportunity to enroll into a second degree on the basis of study abroad programme offered in cooperation with our partner, Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, Great Britain.
