This Comparative Intellectual Property Law program provides thorough professional and theoretical education for students interested in the intellectual property law of the leading countries of cultural industry and industrial property law.
Students who intend to be practitioners or professors of copyright and/or industrial property law or aspire to build successful careers in policy making will also benefit from the program. Students having completed their studies in Szeged may prove more successful and efficient in representing and attaining national and international, economic, scientific and cultural interests and objectives.
Successful completion of the program also provides students with extremely solid support and education in the field of intellectual property planning, strategies and business partnerships. Furthermore, offering qualifications in the field of legal and administrative tasks and arrangements, it also conveys considerable know-how in the field of enforcement of IP rights.
Finally, the module is specially designed to present excellent opportunities for state, non-profit and various other organizations such as commercial, trade and legal chambers to delegate students to the program.
According to the degree type, our postgraduate program offers two streams: one for lawyers [Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Intellectual Property Law], and one for non-lawyers (Specialisation in Comparative Intellectual Property Law).
For those who would like to join the program, it is an essential condition to have at least a bachelor degree. Students with a master’s degree in law will receive a Legal Master’s degree (LL.M.). The program is organised not only for students having a degree in law, but also for those who completed their studies in the field of social sciences, computer sciences, natural sciences, health sciences or engineering.
Application requirements: fully completed and signed application form, BA degree from an accredited university or higher education institution in law or other social sciences, computer sciences, natural sciences, health sciences or engineering a demonstrated proficiency in English (TELC/ECL B2, TOEFL IBT – 72, PBT – 550, Cambridge FC B, IELT S – 5.5), copy of passport, 2 recommendation letters from recognised academic persons, recent medical certificate of satisfactory general health status, a CV, a letter of intent, an individual interview (online) and the payment of the 35 EUR non-refundable application fee and 50 EUR non-refundable entrance exam fee.
